Prerequisites & Certification Path

Work Experience: This is an experience-based certification. Applicants need either a bachelor’s degree in physical sciences/engineering with 4 years of experience in responsible charge OR 8 years of verifiable work experience, including 4 years in responsible charge. “Responsible charge” refers to work requiring technical ability and independent judgment.

Application: An application must be submitted and approved before taking the exam to allow for work experience verification.

Assessment: Requires passing the Senior Corrosion Technologist computer-based exam.
