Who Should Attend

This certification is designed for painting contractors, paint applicators and blasters, facility owners, and other contractor personnel seeking certification in abrasive blasting. It is well-suited for those in shipbuilding, marine maintenance, and other industrial sectors where proper surface preparation is critical.

Prerequisites & Certification Path

Work Experience: A minimum of 800 documented hours of abrasive blasting experience in an industrial or marine environment is required. This must be confirmed by your employer.

Prerequisite eCourses: Completion of the “Industrial Coating Application (ICA)” and “Math for the Coatings Professional” eCourses is required.

Certification Requirements: Candidates must attend the full course and pass both a written exam (with a score of 70% or higher) and a hands-on practical exam (with a score of 90% or higher).
