Who Should Attend

This course is primarily designed for people and organizations involved in painting and inspection work on Navy ships, including inspectors, applicators, project managers, and technical representatives.

Prerequisites & Certification Path

Work Experience: Candidates must document a minimum of 2 years of work experience on a Navy, Coast Guard, or similar vessel in a coatings-related field (e.g., inspection, application, project management).

Assessment: Certification requires passing a three-part exam on the final day: a multiple-choice course exam, a practical exam using inspection instruments, and a NAVSEA S.I. 009-32 multiple-choice exam.
