This certification is for experienced marine and industrial applicators, including painting contractors and facility owner personnel, who operate airless or conventional spray equipment.

Prerequisites & Certification Path

Work Experience: A minimum of 800 documented hours of experience applying protective coatings with airless spray in an industrial or marine environment is required.

Assessment: Candidates must pass a written exam (70% or higher) and a hands-on practical skills assessment (90% or higher).

Provisional Status: Students without the 800 hours of experience can take the course and exams but will not be certified until the experience requirement is met and submitted within one year of the course.
