Introduction
This report details the project undertaken to resolve water ingress issues occurring through concrete expansion gaps. The primary objective was to implement a cost-effective and durable sealing solution that would provide long-term protection against water damage and corrosion, ensuring the structural integrity of the affected areas.
Problem Statement
Concrete expansion gaps, while essential for structural flexibility, were experiencing water leakages. This ingress of water posed a significant problem, leading to potential water damage to the structure and creating an environment conducive to corrosion. A reliable and easy-to-install sealing solution was required to address this issue without the need for extensive surface preparation.
Solution
The project team corrected the defects using a combination of advanced STOPAQ products, each chosen for The project team selected Stopaq Wrapping Band EZ to repair the leaking expansion gaps. This unique, cold-applied product was chosen for its specific suitability for this type of application. The key features of the solution include:
Finished Surface: The band features a greyish polyester non-woven fiber top layer that allows for the immediate application of various paints or UV-reflective coatings, providing a clean and protected final surface.
Effective Sealing and Corrosion Prevention: The wrapping band is engineered to provide excellent sealing against water ingress and offers robust corrosion-preventing properties.
Ease of Installation: The material is easy to install and does not require curing, which significantly reduces application time and complexity. It adheres extremely well to various substrates like concrete and steel with minimal surface pre-treatment.
Durability and Reinforcement: Stopaq Wrapping Band EZ contains a reinforcement fiber mesh, enhancing its strength and ensuring long-term performance across a wide range of commercial, residential, and industrial environments.

The application of Stopaq Wrapping Band EZ successfully sealed the water leakages in the concrete expansion gaps. The project resulted in a durable, long-lasting barrier against water ingress and corrosion.
